Swimming a Long Way Together Book

Over the past 4 years artist Vanessa Daws and curator Rosie Hermon have been working on “Swimming a Long Way Together” a project inspired by the 20th century pioneering swimmer Mercedes Gleitze as part of its wider celebration of swimming and swimming communities. This book interweaves photos and texts of performances and ideas that different people have contributed over the life of the project.

Includes sections about Vanessa's exhibition 'At Home in the Water' at Fabrica in 2022, and Vanessa & Fabrica's 47 Hour Endurance Swim community event at Brighton Sea Lanes, Brighton in 2023.
